District Advancement Committee Meeting Information

The Pawnee Bill District Advancement Committee meets on the 1st Thursday of the month (August- April) at 6:30 pm at the Troop 818 Scout Hut, corner of 6th and Duck in Stillwater. At this meeting Scouts may have Eagle projects reviewed or approved, turn in Eagle applications, or receive assistance on any issues relating to advancement. In addition, Scouts may contact Jack Dillwith, 405-743-1514, at any time for an appointment to discuss the Life-to-Eagle process. Melanie Bayles maintains the list of registered merit counselors and should be contacted with questions pertaining to counselor registration. The committee conducts two Life-to-Eagle training workshops each year, one in September and a second in April (see the current Council calendar for dates). The committee is also prepared to offer merit badge counselor training when required. Units are encouraged to contact the committee for assistance with advancement issues.

The 101 District Advancement Committee is now organizing.  Steve Leonard is the District Advancement Chairman.  The Boy Scout Roundtable in January will focus on Life to Eagle Scout Transition.  Parents of Life scouts are also urged to attend this training.

The Chisholm Trail District Advancement Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm at Hammer Williams downstairs Board Room, below KOFM 1710 West Willow in Enid OK. In order for a Life scout to be considered for project approval or for his Eagle Board of Review the paperwork must be turned into Cindy Seltenreich at the Cimarron Council Service Center no later than the 1st Tuesday of the month. For more information contact Jay Bowers.

The Great Northwest District Advancement Committee is headed by Jim Walling.
