Commissioner Service

Commissioner Service, under the direction of the District and Council Commissioners, is one of the most important, yet least understood parts of the Scouting Program. A Commissioner's approach is one of helpfulness, ready to assist the leaders, offering suggestions, encouraging unit leaders, and the unit committee, thereby strengthening the leadership's program efforts. In effect each Commissioner enters into a partnership with the senior leadership - all working for the single objective - the welfare of the Crew, Troop or Pack

This site was created to assist these commissioners in their task of helping units succeed within the Cimarron Council as well as the Scouting community at large and to help educate fellow Scouters in the roles and mission of their commissioner.

Centennial Quality Award Program

All Commissioners should be working with their Units to help them achieve the Centennial Quality Award. The award replaces the Quality Awards program in 2007 through 2010; why it was changed; how your council, district and unit should incorporate the new requirements into your program; copies of the forms and interpretations of the requirements; and the implementation schedule are available here.
