Cub Scout Day Camp

Celebrate the Oklahoma Centennial

Welcome to the Greatest Show on Earth!

That’s right! The circus is coming to a Day Camp near you and everyone’s invited!  Day Camp is for Cub Scout-aged boys, Tigers (have completed Kindergarten) through Webelos (have completed 4th grade).  Each Day Camp is unique, so check out your camp for more details. Most camps will have activities such as crafts and scout skills, BB guns and Archery, some type of aquatics program, and lots and lots of circus fun! Check with your Pack on how to sign up for this 3-ring circus and don’t miss out on the Early Bird Special!

Things you need to know to prepare for Day Camp:

à Day Camps are run solely by volunteers. We ask that each Pack provide one (1) adult for every four (4) boys per day of camp.

à The Day Camp that you plan to attend will provide you with more detailed information on what to bring, but the following is a good guideline: sack lunch, closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, water bottle, swim suit and towel, money for the trading post (please leave all electronics at home).

à Plan on turning your registrations in at your April Roundtable (May for Pawnee Bill District) and take advantage of the Early Bird prices. It saves you money and helps the key staff better prepare for a great camp!

à HAVE FUN!

Cimarron Council day camps continue the Cub Scout program throughout the month of June and July at more locations than ever before.  Day Camps offer fun-filled days of Cub Scout advancement and adventure.  Scouts will participate in multiple activities based on an exciting theme.

Over the past two summers we have expanded the number of Day Camps offered from three to eight locations so we can better serve and reach Cub Scouts in all 19 counties of our council.

Our Cub Scout Day Camp program is designed to meet the needs and interests of each boy as he experiences outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, shooting sports, swimming, nature, and many others.  There will be advancement opportunities at each Cub Scout level.

Cub Scout Day Camp helps the boy and parent maintain interest in Scouting and helps strengthen pack organization for better year-round operation.  In fact, when your Cub Pack conducts activities in June, July & August you can earn the National Summertime Pack Award.  By going to your local Day Camp in June, and then coming to our Cub Resident Camp sessions in July at Will Rogers Scout Reservation you are already 66% of the way towards getting this special award.

Our volunteer camp & program directors are second to none.  Each has attended three days of intensive training at BSA's National Camp School.  However, they need your help to provide outstanding program for your son.  Parents are needed to walk with the boys from one activity to the next or to assist with presenting a craft, game or other activity during camp.  All the Day Camps will have a parent/volunteer orientation meeting prior to camp.  Many camps offer on-site tot lot as a service to the parents that volunteer.

Each camp is different.  Check for deadlines & fees for each camp. One separate registration form is required for each person attending a camp. When asked for the Rank of your son, put the Rank (Grade Level) your son will be at camp after June 1st.
