Ema 'O Mahpe Lodge

The Cimarron Council is proudly served by the Ema 'O Mahpe Lodge, founded on April 1, 2001

The goal of our lodge is to cheerfully serve our Council and its membership in Northwestern and North-central Oklahoma. We work to uphold the high principles of the Order and Scouting and invite you to find out more about our lodge and programs we offer.

As Scouting's National Honor Society, the Order of the Arrow is an integral part of the council's program.  Our service, activities, adventures, and training for youth and adults are models of quality leadership development and programming that enrich and help to extend Scouting to America's youth.

Since 1915, peers have honored those Scouts who "best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives" with membership in the Order of the Arrow.  This recognition provides encouragement for others to live these ideals as well.  We will provide ways and means for members of the Order of the Arrow to do more to assist their units and councils, and help them succeed in doing so.

We provide service to all three of our Council camping properties: Williams Scout Reservation, Sundance Scout Center and Will Rogers Scout Reservation. We promote camping year round, conduct ceremonies, and provide cheerful service to Scouting.

"From the beginning it has been our hope that the Order would serve a useful purpose in causing the Scout Promise and Law to spring into action, especially in the Scout camps in all parts of our nation. We are still dedicated to this high purpose."

E. Urner Goodman, Founder of the Order of the Arrow

Lodge Membership

Once a Scout goes through his Ordeal, he is a member of the Order of the Arrow for the rest of his life. OA membership does require a person be registered with the BSA, so if you left the Scouting program for a while, your OA membership would lapse as well.

However, once you renew your BSA membership, even in another council, you can also resume your OA membership at the same level you left it. You will need to connect with the Lodge to pay your dues and continue your active membership.
