BSA Social Media

Boy Scouting, one of the traditional membership divisions of the BSA, is available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11, but not yet 18 years old. The program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness. The program is designed to achieve the aims of Scouting through a vigorous outdoor program and peer group leadership with the counsel of an adult Scoutmaster and other adult volunteer leaders.

Advancement Committee

Each service area maintains an advancement committee. The purpose of the advancement committee is to provide Scouts an opportunity to have Eagle projects reviewed or approved, turn in Eagle applications, or receive assistance on any issues relating to advancement. The committee is also prepared to offer merit badge counselor training when required. Units are encouraged to contact the committee for assistance with advancement issues.

Additional Award Opportunities

Scouts have additional award opportunities beyond the rank and merit badge program. These opportunities include the William T Hornaday Award, Historic Trails Award and more.

Life_to_Eagle

Life to Eagle

After a Scout earns the Life Rank they begin to work toward the Eagle Rank. The Eagle Rank is different from other ranks and is much more involved. In order to help Scouts transition from Life to Eagle the Cimarron Council provides resources and workshops to guide the Scout along their way.

Life Scouts and parents of Life Scouts are urged to attend the Life to Eagle Workshop. This training will outline the process, introduce you to the volunteers responsible and when you both attend, you both will receive the same infomration and both be able to ask questions that you might have.
