Camp Renfrew is located 1 mile north of Boiling Springs State Park 4
1/2 miles east of Woodward, Oklahoma. This camp is named after R. O.
Renfrew, the first District Chairman of this part of the council.
This 20 acre beautiful, rustic and wooded camp has plenty of
firewood. Camp Renfrew makes a great camp for troops needing a base
camp for Alabaster Caverns 23 miles away, a stop over to Philmont or
for a weekend camp. Currently the camp is only approved for Troop,
Team, and Venture Crew use.

Camp Road
Each of the 8 campsites have fire rings and picnic tables. Six of
the camp sites carry the names of Native American tribes - Arapaho,
Kiowa, Kiamichi, Osage, Pawnee, and Seminole. The other camps are
called Tamaha and Akela.

Campsite
The camp has no drinking water available on site but water is
available in nearby Boiling Springs State Park. The hand pump well
is no longer there. We do have divided pit latrines for the male
scouts and scouters and a single building for women scouters.
The camp also has an assembly area and a nice council ring. Wildlife
in the camp is abundant with deer, turkeys, armadillos, raccoons and
an occasional coyote. At night you can hear the coyotes howling and
the turkeys clucking and gobbling in the morning when they leave
their roost.

NOTE: Camp Renfrew is not actually owned by the Cimarron
Council, please be good stewards of this camp, make sure all fires
are out, and any trash is cleaned up.
