Every youth deserves a full Scouting uniform
The Cimarron Council "Experienced Uniform Bank" is a new
initiative designed to help scouts, families and units
who may not be able to afford a new uniform.
The Cimarron Council Uniform Bank is located in the
training building of the Walter P Scheffe Service Center
in Enid OK.
If you have a scout with a specific uniform need, please
stop by the Service Center with specific size needs. If
you have uniforms to donate, just stop by during regular
service center hours or call your District Executive to
arrange pick up of your used uniform parts.
If you live in the Enid area and can donate
some time, volunteers are needed to help with the
Uniform Bank to clean & repair donated uniforms that we
receive. What we hope to eventually do is to have all
of our used donated uniform parts cleaned, hung up, and
a list made (and placed on this website) of all of the
uniform parts & sizes we have in Enid. Call Mike Adam
(ext. 21) at the Scout Office if you would like to help.
Other Uniform Bank volunteers are needed to organize
working with local thrift shops and units who want to
work with us to gather up used Uniforms. Still other
Uniform Bank volunteers can help us promote this project
with all units, both those with Uniforms they can get
their members to donate, and other units who have scouts
in need and would jump at the chance to get some help
outfitting all of their scouts. With even a small grant, we could even gather
up at very low prices, many of the experienced uniforms
that sell for very little on places like eBay.
Our goal is to get every scout in a Uniform. The
Uniform Bank is
just one more way that Cimarron Council is going above &
beyond to be of service to all scouts in our council.
